At Restaurant Schachenwald we cook regionally and seasonally – from classic Schnitzel to Styrian Backhendl and the Schachenwald grill platter. The bright conservatory, seating up to 50, is a particular favourite; in summer the beer garden invites you outdoors.
The restaurant is open daily from 3 to 10 pm on its opening days – the days themselves vary by season: open every day from June to September, Monday to Saturday in May and October, and with reduced days the rest of the year (the exact opening hours are further down this page). It isn’t just for hotel guests: you’re welcome to dine with us without an overnight stay too – ideal for a relaxed dinner or a small celebration.

Daily 3–10 pm on opening days – open every day June to September, Mon–Sat in May & October, otherwise Mon–Wed full kitchen and Thu a small snack menu (closed Fri–Sun). Closed between Christmas and Epiphany. For celebrations and special occasions, we’re also happy to take reservations outside our regular opening hours.
