Accessibility
SHH GmbH is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible – in line with the Austrian Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsgesetz, BaFG) implementing the European Accessibility Act. We aim for conformance with WCAG 2.1 level AA and EN 301 549.
Conformance status
This website is largely conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. "Largely conformant" means that most content meets the requirements, with the exceptions listed below.
What we have implemented
- Sufficient colour contrast for text, controls and buttons (≥ 4.5:1)
- Full keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator
- "Skip to content" link and clear landmark/heading structure
- Labelled form fields with clear error and status messages
- Respect for the "reduced motion" system setting; pausable image sliders
- Descriptive alt text for meaningful images
Known limitations
- The online booking is handled by an external booking engine (booking.shh-hotels.com), whose accessibility is not fully under our control.
- Embedded maps and third-party content (e.g. partner logos) may not be fully accessible.
- Some interactive components are being progressively refined for full ARIA conformance.
